Improving Order & Project Execution

Customer Profile: A leading manufacturer of large process equipment.

Problem: The company underwent rapid growth, resulting in a high influx of customer orders that exceeded the unit's existing capacity and management expertise. Customers issued threats of penalties and contract cancellations.

Solution: We conducted a comprehensive assessment of the order execution process and introduced a structured project management review and reporting system. This involved implementing daily standup issue reporting and escalation protocols, granting early management visibility into problems. We recommended establishing a project management team and recruiting skilled individuals to oversee the process. Additionally, we initiated monthly sales, finance, and manufacturing reviews, enabling senior management to gain a holistic view of the organization's operations.

Benefit: The customer successfully adopted a more mature approach to project management, leading to early identification and resolution of issues and minimizing customer conflicts.
