What does River Learning mean?
River and Learning are two the fundamental driving thoughts on which the company was formed as a consulting firm.
River is representative of FLOW. Flow is about being in the zone – A concept as defined by the psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi in 1975 as a mental state in which a person performing some activity, is completely focused and immersed, bringing joy and loses dimension of time while doing that activity. So, a person in a state of flow produces work which he enjoys and is also produced with deep love for the topic.
Learning comes from the concept explained in the book The Fifth Discipline by Peter Senge. In this book, Peter Senge identifies Learning organizations as the highest form of organization maturity where its members are constantly learning, evolving to remain competitive in the changing business environment.
Hence, the name River Learning strives to bring together these two principles in the way we work and add value to our clients.
