Manufacturing ERP Implementation

Company Profile: A large manufacturer of furniture and panel board projects

Problem: The client had multiple IT systems

  • A legacy system on which the finance and accounts were being maintained.
  • A partially implemented system for stores.
  • Other departments in the organization had no IT systems.

In order to be able to connect the company onto one common platform a decision was taken to implement an ERP that would connect all the departments.

Solution: We worked closely with the client to evaluate the multiple options for implementing the ERP. Of the options, a careful assessment was done to evaluate the most suitable vendor. A detailed requirements document was drafted leading to a very clear, high level design for the ERP vendor. Very close project management of the execution was done with the vendor. We were also involved in structuring the commercial engagement and defining the structure of the project execution. We worked with the client through the entire phase of implementation and monitored the delivery and execution of the project by the vendor.

Benefit: The implementation of the ERP has enabled the client to have an overview of the entire organization at his fingertips. All process flows happen through the system eliminating the need for multiple shared documents and business transactions over email or instant messaging. This has given the company the ability to scale its business much faster, more easily.
