Customer Profile: A leading manufacturing organization with a turnover of over 25 Crores
Problem: The client CEO was a technically inclined manager who was deeply involved in operations and execution of orders. He had no formal training in finance and finance management. He would often be in a situation where he didn’t understand the financial situation of the organization and would depend on his accountants interpretation of his financial situation and take decisions accordingly. There was a need to help the CEO to understand the organizations finances in business language and therefore help him take decisions in an organized and well thought out manner.
Solution: We worked with the CEO to define the framework of finance reviews which he as a CEO would do. Once the framework and content of this review was defined, we developed very specific finance reports which would be of value to him. We worked closely with the finance and accounting team to develop the templates in which data would be downloaded on a weekly and monthly basis to be presented to the CEO.
Benefit: The CEO is now very literate when it comes to financial insights from a management standpoint. He’s able to demand the right kind of data from his accountants and is very happy that he’s able to take decisions related to financial implications in an educated manner.
